It’s fair to say that last week’s London fashion week was not a disappointment. Collections ranging from Chic to funky were showcased over the 5 days of 15th February– 19th February. The outstanding Simone Rocha, Victoria Beckham, Burberry and hundreds more collections left a positive, lasting impression. Grasping our attention last week, were young designers such as Gayeon Lee and Ashley Williams.

Gayeon Lee

Gayeon Lee studied the MA Fashion Womenswear course at Central Saint Martins in 2013. She has worked with big luxury brands such as Marc Jacobs in London and New York, successfully making a name for herself. Lee went onto launching her collection back in 2014 and winning the 2016 Vogue Talent award. Her Autumn/ Winter collection incorporates many pastel colours. Her collection arrays sophistication yet exhibits her talent and knowledge of fine art.

 

Ashley Williams

Known for always being one step ahead and setting the tempo, Ashley Williams is one of the most talked about contemporary womenswear brand, at the moment. Her adventurous style stands out from the crowd, making her slogan tees incorporated with vintage shapes, a hit with well known celebrities. This funky aesthetic has brought her collaborations with Coca Cola, Google, LG and Mattel. Whatsmore, winning ‘Emerging Designer of The Year’ at the ELLE Style Awards 2015.
